Download and Installation
Step 1: Download the Software
Download the latest version from the official Siovue Video Downloader website.
System Requirements
- macOS 10.14 or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel processor
- 4GB RAM minimum (8GB recommended)
- 500MB of free disk space
Step 2: Install the Application
Locate and double-click the DMG installer. In the opened package window, drag the Siovue Video Downloader icon to the Applications folder. Wait for the copying to complete.
Step 3: Launch the Application
Find Siovue Video Downloader in Launchpad and click to open it. You're now ready to start downloading videos!

After launching Siovue Video Downloader for the first time, you'll see the welcome window with a clean interface designed for easy video downloading.

Downloading Videos
Siovue Video Downloader makes it easy to download videos from thousands of websites with just a few clicks.
How to Download a Video
Copy the URL of the video you want to download from your browser's address bar.
For best results, copy the URL from the address bar rather than using a "Share" link.
Paste the URL into the input field at the top of the Siovue Video Downloader window.
Click the "Download" button to analyze the URL. The app will scan the video and show available quality options.
Choose your preferred video quality and format from the available options.
- Higher resolution options (1080p, 4K) will have larger file sizes
- You can choose between video formats (MP4, MKV) or audio only (MP3)
- Some websites may have limited quality options available
Click "Download Now" to start downloading your video.
Download Progress
Monitor download progress, speed, and estimated time remaining in the progress panel.
Download Location
By default, downloads are saved to your Downloads folder. You can change this in Settings.

Quality Settings
Siovue Video Downloader offers flexible quality settings to meet your specific needs:
- 4K (2160p): Ultra HD quality for high-end displays
- 1080p: Full HD quality, balanced size and quality
- 720p: HD quality, smaller file size
- 480p/360p: Standard definition, best for mobile devices
- MP4: Most compatible video format for all devices
- MKV: High-quality container format for larger files
- WebM: Open web format with good compression
- MP3/M4A: Audio only formats for music extraction

Setting Default Quality Preferences
To access quality settings:
- Click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the application
- Select "Preferences"
- Go to the "Download" tab
You can set these default options:
- Best Available: Automatically select the highest quality
- Custom Resolution: Always prefer a specific resolution
- Format Preference: Default container format (MP4, MKV, etc.)
- Audio Preference: Audio quality and format for audio-only downloads
Batch Download
Download multiple videos simultaneously with the batch download feature, perfect for playlists or multiple videos from the same creator.

You can manage how many videos download at once by adjusting the settings:
- Go to Settings
- Find "The maximum number of downloading tasks"
- Set your preferred number (2-5 recommended)
How to Batch Download
Click on the "Batch Mode" button in the toolbar to switch to batch download mode.
Enter one URL per line in the input field. You can paste multiple URLs at once if they're separated by line breaks.
Pro Tip: You can also paste a YouTube playlist URL to automatically extract all video URLs from the playlist.
Click "Analyze All" to scan all URLs at once. The app will process each link and show available download options.
You can:
- Select quality options for each video individually, or
- Click "Apply to All" to use the same settings for all videos
Click "Download All" to begin downloading all videos simultaneously.

Siovue Video Downloader keeps track of your downloaded videos for easy access:

History Features
- View History: Click the "Finished" button
- Open Location: Click the folder icon
- Re-download: Click "Download Again"
- Clear History: Remove entries as needed

- Double-click a video to play it
- Right-click for context menu options
- Drag files from history to other applications

- Search by video title or website

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while using Siovue Video Downloader, try these solutions:
If you receive a "URL not supported" error:
- Ensure you've copied the complete video URL
- Try updating the application to the latest version
- Check if the website requires login (some private videos cannot be downloaded)
- Try copying the URL again from the address bar instead of a share button
If your download fails or gets stuck:
- Check your internet connection
- Try a different quality option (some qualities might not be available)
- Restart the application
- Try downloading at a different time (servers might be busy)
- Check if you have enough disk space
For controlling subtitle downloads and display:
- You can choose to embed subtitles directly in videos
- Embedded subtitles will appear as a separate subtitle stream
- You can toggle between subtitles in your media player
- Alternatively, save subtitles as separate files
Enabling video thumbnails allows your videos to display preview images in Finder:
